In the beginning...

OUR HISTORY

A vision was birthed in the hearts of Pastor Virgilio C. Jacinto and his loving wife Linda B. Jacinto in 1987. After years of praying and trusting in the promise of God, in 1989, the said vision was confirmed engrafted with it is the clear direction and necessary elements of putting up a Bible school.

In 1993, Pastor Ver was pastoring the Universal Evangelical Christian Church in Majayjay, Laguna. At that time, he was actively seeking a place to build the promised school. The land on which the church was located is owned by a Christian foundation. The foundation members heard about his plans and they approached him and asked to build the school, the fulfillment of God’s promise. In 1995, Asia Center for Biblical Studies came into existence

With God’s marvelous works seasoned with the excitement of those who caught the vision, the land was prepared; teachers were hired, as the school’s perspective being laid. Though the couple’s faith was tested many times, but God who is faithful to His promise proved that His Word are true. Every need has been met, according to His Word and His riches in glory, ALL WERE SUPPLIED.

The school was graced with five (5) students on its first year of opening. It is a very significant number showing God’s abounding grace, that despite of many hindrances, God’s Plan will surely come to pass. As GOD blessed the ministry, it grew and it continues growing. From one classroom, one dormitory and an old bamboo lodge, it blooms into several buildings and facilities making it a beautiful campus.

Looking back and looking forward, it is unimaginable to reminisce that the school have gone this far, and it is a joy and honor to see the progress, the accomplishment, the rewards, and the harvest that has already been widespread. Moreover, ACBS supports graduates who are actively engaged in missions, church planting and the like. Also, another reward that is worth mentioning is our graduates who pursued their studies in higher education have graduated with flying colors and honors.

More than these are one thing not to forget, the beautiful scenery of the school’s location is a fresh-cool place, pollution free, suited for nature lover due to the friendly and Pro Mother-Nature people around. The feeling of awe and a sense of genuine appreciation is something that would debase an ostentatious intellect because of its panoramic view. Enveloped with the whole scenery, ACBS – the place to be!!!
